Airbnb Cleaning Checklist

Even if you have the best housekeeper in the world, I’d suggest still making a cleaning checklist. It’s a tough job turning over a whole home in just a couple of hours so to make certain that there are no mistakes, provide your housekeeper with a cleaning checklist.

I have printed and laminated two copies of the cleaning checklist I created below for my two Airbnb condos. I always urge my housekeepers to use the checklist even if they already know what to do. This is just in case they forget something. That one mistake can land you a low “Cleanliness” review and affect future bookings. This is a useful list to follow so feel free to take it and adapt it to your home!

    Hi Julia,

I got here through the Facebook page of Entrepreneur Philippines. I was inspired by this and hope that I can get started on the same idea. I was wondering how did you hire the housekeepers? Are they from a private company or hired individually? I would think it is of utmost importance because you would have to leave the care of the condo to them.

Thanks and I hope for your continued success in this!

    God bless,

      Hi Diane!

I found my housekeeper through a company. I searched different businesses on Facebook and found one that had great reviews from previous customers. I contacted the manager who I gave a clear explanation of what I needed; a on-call housekeeper that will clean an entire condo within 3 hours. She recommended one housekeeper who I met and spent a day training. I printed and laminated a cleaning checklist (one of my blog posts that you can read) and gave it to the housekeeper. I told her to accomplish everything on the checklist every time she came. I also explained that it will be run like a hotel so toiletries needed to be replenished. I send the manager funds for the month for cleaning and supplies.
It is hard to find a trustworthy housekeeper but if you meet them and personally train them then you can have better judgement on their character and work ethic.
Thank you for reading my blog! I really I could help!
